New Update Ready!
I'm excited to announce that the foundation for the Collections page is finished. This new feature allows you to create lists of items, enhancing your experience in various ways.

Features included:
-
Get accurate price estimates on your kits
-
View a complete stat overview for prices and rolls, helping you understand how much your current kit impacts your stats
-
All items with their rolls are displayed on one page, making it much easier to share your build with others through a screenshot instead of hovering over each item manually. In the future. I'll add a button to share the link to your build so others can import it into their collection
-
Compare lists with each other to see the advantages and disadvantages of different builds
-
Experiment with different builds and theorycraft as much as you like
-
An "owned" tag has been added to each item, which can be toggled to track your quest progress
-
Add all the required items to craft an item for a quick price estimation

These are just some ideas I've come up with. You can probably find many more uses. All prices and additional rolls are manually adjustable, and it's possible to exclude items from stat calculations. For example, if you don't want to show the Move Speed penalty for the weapon in your build, you can exclude it. You can price check all items with one button, though it might take a bit of time depending on how many items are in your list. I've implemented a moderate rate limit for every user to avoid server overloads, but as long as you use it conservatively, you should have no issues. Each item also has buttons for removing, editing, and refreshing its prices.

Companion Updates:
-
Added a hotkey for uploading items to the last used list.
-
Lists are automatically synced through your license, so when you upload items, they will be available in your account on dndprices.com.
-
You don't have to reload the page every time you upload an item. On the website, click "Manage items" and then "Refresh list" for a fast update.
-
Added a log tab that shows the last 12 price-checked items, so you don't need to price check the same item twice.
-
Added settings to show the price before the adjustment of the "Underpricing/Overpricing" slider and to display the price for a customizable number of items.
-
Added a Start/Stop button to disable or enable price checks outside of the game. Initially, I wanted to detect automatically if the user is outside the game, but since this would require reading the game window handle, I've decided not to implement it. The Companion will remain a screenshot tool.
-
Version added on the bottom right of the Companion
-
Fixed stability issues and a potential crash when closing the overlay.

In the last few weeks, I received several reports of false positives from Windows Defender. After reworking the launcher twice and submitting the file to Microsoft, they confirmed the detection has been removed. I've posted this confirmation on Discord under "companion-usage," so you should no longer have issues installing and running the Companion. The only remaining issue is Chrome potentially blocking the download. I advise you to use Microsoft Edge until I fix this. There were also situations where the server experienced issues due to a combination of reaching server limits and problems with my server provider. This should now be resolved.

I also want to share some insights into the future of dndprices:
I've allocated time each day to work on dndprices and the Companion, and I'm committed to providing consistent updates. The costs for the servers are well covered by the Companion. I might add a donation button as an optional way for you to support me and the project. The website will never have ads, and there will never be a feature exclusive to the Companion. All features will be available for free on the website.

I hope you enjoy these changes. Thank you for your support!

Reworked the Price Check system:
The new system i added few days ago uses machine learning to estimate prices if not enough items where collected.
However, i noticed that in some cases it lead to overpricing and it was in general not reliable enough.
Therefore, i trained a new model which is much larger and uses more data but at the cost of some performance, it will
only activate in cases where no similar items where found and only for items which might be extremely valuable/Best in Slot.
This system is much better.
Additional changes:
-
Update rate for lowest marketprices increased.
-
Fixed data collection for Giant Bat hide.
-
Visual update for Froststone items from Legendary to Epic rarity
Companion:
-
Fixed a bug where it didn't recognize Tri-Pelt items
-
Fixed a bug where the roll values where not read correctly

The next updates will contain new features for the website and the Companion.
Also, make sure to uninstall your old launcher and use the latest version1.2.1, which is available here: https://www.dndprices.com/my-subscriptions
It includes several improvements and addresses False Positives of Windows Defender. Enter your license key after you installed the new launcher.

New larger server-side update to the Price Check!
In the last few days, I have worked on a new code that improves the accuracy for high-value items and complements the current Price Check system.
Now, prices are much more reliable and robust even for items which had no similar item on the market in the last few days.
I’m also preparing to introduce a new feature that will display the possible value ranges for item rolls, e.g. Additional Move Speed 3 - 5.
All of this was only possible because of the feedback you sent me, so thank you for your contribution and support!

New Update!
Merchant prices with prices per slot added to website
Companion 1.2.0 is ready, download from your Companion page:
-
Merchant prices added
-
Automatic update system
-
Customizable colors for Price Check, Lowest market price, Estimated demand, and Merchant price
-
New hotkey for showing previous items added
-
Option for hiding the overlay after x seconds now allows any number as input, including decimals
-
Fixed an issue with the Companion sometimes not recognizing an item
-
Fixed other minor bugs
I am already working on a new massive feature:
-
There will be a new page for the website which allows you to create your own item collections with a total price estimation. It will also give you the possibility to theorycraft kits with all character stats, items, and item rolls. This makes it very easy to get an overview of your collection and share it with others.
-
The Companion will have a new tab showing your collections. Added items will automatically sync with the website so you won’t have to add them twice.
At the same time, I will increase the update rate for the lowest market prices, show hourly price charts, and improve the Price Check further.
If you want to support this project, consider getting the Companion and join the Discord: https://discord.gg/5GBdwTaeYm

Price Check hotfix: i fixed a bug in the data collection process which affected certain item prices. This change will improve the overall quality of the Price Check as well as the quality of the lowest market prices. After 24 hours from now the effect of this change will apply to all items.
September 10, 3:00 (ET)
After reviewing the lowest market price data, I decided to adjust the prices to match the actual lowest market price more. Initially, I avoided this to prevent underpricing items and i will monitor the results and then adjust the values one more time if necessary.

Discord server added, join here: https://discord.gg/hpqNncUtcY

-

New Season Ready Update is Finished!
-
New Feature “Estimated Demand” added to the website and the new Companion version: Items are ranked by how long they usually stay on the market and then given a score from 0 to 10, with a higher score indicating higher demand. This helps players know how fast certain items will sell on the marketplace, identify meta items, and get another metric to price an item. The current items with the highest estimated demand score of 10 are:
-
Rare Ring of Courage
-
Grimsmile Ring
-
Troll’s Blood
-
Rare Loose Trousers
-
Uncommon Francisca Axe
-
-
New Companion Version 1.1.9 is ready. It has further options for customizing the overlay, fixes several bugs, and has better performance. I will include the automatic update system in the next update since I need more time for it. Download it from your Companion page.
-
Price Check now analyzes combinations of rolls and then uses fine-tuning instead of using the average price from the individual rolls. This change gives a much better starting price before fine-tuning and improves accuracy. It now also prioritizes recent data instead of simply using items from the last few days. This way, it shows prices that are closer to the current market. Lastly, I improved the way roll values contribute to the final price.
A lot of you asked for a Discord server so that we would be able to communicate much easier. I will set one up in the next couple of days.
Thank you all for your support!

Over the last week, I have worked hard to push the Price Check to the next level. I will continue to monitor the results and perform minor fine-tunings. Now, I will focus on adding new features to the website and the Companion.
